How do I teach my baby to go to sleep by himself?

Yes crying till they fall asleep is the only way to teach them! As much as it will hurt to here your baby cry, I believe its the only way!!

Answer #2

I do this to my baby brother: I let play all he wants, run around, bite things, watch tv ect. because soon or later he’s going to be so tired he’s going to hibernate. But if it’s in the night time and your dead tired, (i might be 13 but i know from experiance belive me my family is huge) Ethier sing it to sleep, rock the baby to sleep or give it a toy or let it watch tv. Letting it cry is a good way..if your not ready to go to sleep. Im sure you dont want any crying involved with your sleep so you have to make the baby tired.

This might be hard to do but this is what my mom did to me. She would always be there when i was a baby waiting for me to fall asleep and the second she got up to leave I would apparently start crying again. She then decided to put me in the crib and just leave me there until I cried myself to sleep. She said I was crying for minutes the first 2 days and then later on I was completely fine. Just stand on the other side of the door (which should be closed to make sure that the baby is ok). I know it’s hard to listen to your baby crying for you but this is the only way they will learn because eventually they will get sick of crying and simply fall asleep.
