Can a teacher get fired for telling a sex joke to her class?

We were talking about long and short term monitoring and she said youu can’t say long is long and short is short because some guys think this is big (she put her hands a few inches apart) but I don’t think that’s big ! Then she said “some people got it” and was making fun of the few that didn’t and this is a grade seven class that’s not something you should be saying infront of a class

No, racist jokes are on a whole new territory.

I do not think she could get fired for that. If it was a class of -6 that she could probably get in trouble. I think at that age you should be starting sex education in school anyway. So I do not see the big deal about that.

In all honesty, i think it depends on whether or not the parents want to step in. If someone was offended, told their parents (who also got offended) and the parents went to the school.. it could mean termination for the teacher.

Yep, agreed. If she told a sex joke that insulted someone or some group or a sex joke that was about any kid in her class she can definitely get fired. That one joke was harmless.
