Where can I go to get a tattoo done with parental consent at the age of 17 in Glasgow, Scotland?

Answer #1

Parental consent does not exist for getting a tattoo under the age of 18 in Britain. By law, a tattoo artist cannot legally and knowingly tattoo anybody under that age, regardless of consent.

It’s covererd by the Tattooing of Minors Act 1669.

Answer #2

1969* not 16

Answer #3

Sorry but the gov. passed a new law, no-one under 18 is allowed a tattoo, if a tattooist is caught tattooing a minor it’s classed under as child abuse; i know my mum’s been a tattooist for over 10 years nd she wont let me get tattooed not even by her b’cos of the law. Nd if you do get an offer to be tattooed reject it b’cos most likely their dodgey, make sure you ask for pictures nd etc of ppl they’ve tattooed before so you can see the type of skills they have, also ask about experience how long, where etc.
