Tattoo Aftercare

Ima get a tattoo tomorrow. My question is:

What should I get for aftercare? any suggestions?

My cousin used to put baby oil when he got his on his arm. Imma get mine on my anklel.

Answer #1

I just got my first tattoo 2 days ago and to clean it I use clear anibacterical soap and rub it, then I put colourless, unscented lotion (lubriderm works best) and put it on, not thick tho, make sure its completely rubbed in becasue the extra moisture will cause scabbing.. which makes it take much longer to heal. Tattoos are not to bad for aftercare… but it will be sore to touch, and the lotion will burn, dont worry, its not bad. hope this helps :)

Answer #2

ask your tattoo artist, they will probably tell you after it is done anyways.

but mine had me rub palmer’s cocoa butter on it every couple hours until it was all the way healed so that it didn’t scab up real bad and lose color.

Answer #3

a and d is what they recommend…you use that twice a day for like a week or two and then you switch to non scented lotion…you can get it at a drugstore…look in the baby section

Answer #4

Do NOT put any Vaseline on it.
Do not put oil on it.

The only thing you should be putting on it is unscented, colourless lotion. Only put it on like three times a day.

Wash your hands with antibacterial soap before doing it. Only wash the tattoo itself twice a day–morning and night.
