Are these symptoms of ADHD?

If not, what’s wrong with me?

So I’ve been getting SO angry lately. Like flipping out on everyone! I know this may sound strange, but instead of cutting my wrists I bite myself so hard until it leaves a bruise. I’m usually pretty good in my exams, like I used to get B’s and stuff, and now I’ve dropped way down to E’s!! My teachers ask me what’s wrong after class and I just break down in front of them, shouting, almost crying, walking out etc. I know this can’t be normal. I was just wondering if this might be ADHD or something like that.

Answer #1

It’s you not knowing how to deal with stress or be an adult about things, instead you throw tantrums like a two year old, also, it’s you not wanting to take responsibility for your failing grades, instead you look for a reason to blame it on like ADHD. Grow up and study.

Answer #2

That is not ADHD, snds more like lose of self control

Answer #3

I wouldn’t have phrased it so harshly, but Michelle’s right :L If this behavior is just starting though, maybe you should try taking anger management classes? Frankly what you’ve described sounds like me xD and I don’t have ADHD…so you’re probably fine. Well not fine, because you’re obviously not fine…but you probably haven’t got ADHD.

Answer #4

Thanks. That’s kind of the main part I don’t understand.. It’s just sudden. I was fine a couple weeks ago. But thanks for putting it nicely! :L

Answer #5

Aha, well, Im not going to sugar-coat things, she’s acting immature and irresponsible, Im not going to pat her on the back and tell her it’s okay or help her blame her lack of self-control on a disorder that I dont even really believe exists. Not going to happen, not from me.

Answer #6

I don’t see how I was being immature. I was simply asking why my behaviour has suddenly changed. But thanks for the answer anyway, it helped.

Answer #7

Biting yourself and throwing fits isn’t immature? And you’re welcome, dont mention it.

Answer #8

Thats not ADHD. I have ADD/ADHD and i’ve never done any of those things, I have trouble keeping still and paying attention to one singular thing at a time but people with ADHD aren’t insane… You need to go to a therapist as soon as possible because what you are experiencing is not normal at all.

Answer #9

Thank you.

Answer #10

this may simply just be a result of stress. Visiting a theapist would be the best idea. I have inattentive ADHD and i have never experienced any of this.

Answer #11

Answer #12
