im turning 16 in december but I wanna start planning. my moms not letting me have the kind of party I want with everyone dancing and a dj because my mom doesnt like the music I listen to and she doesnt want all of me and my friends grinding on top of eachother because shes gunna wanna invite all her friendss. what do I do ? I want one soo bad im annnoyedd heelp!
Try to explain to her that this a special day and would like to have a say-so in the planning. Try telling her you will have the dj do a variety of music, not all screamo(thank you very much), rap(again, thank you), are and b. Techno,etc. you could even be a thankful teenager for your Mom and Dad letting you have the party, but adding even just a few songs of the music thet like. That would show a lot of respect for your parents if you did, plus a lot of love as well And mostly, let them know you will talk to every1 regarding dancing and respect for their elders beliefs. No "dirty dancing" you know what I'm talking. No one needs to be imitating having intercourse on the dance floor. Or any other night or dance floor for that matter. Just make sure to let every1 know to keep it low-toned as a respectful gesture to the parents of the b-day girl.
If they decide to go along with all you told them, then make sure to keep your end of the bargain. None of this ha! Now I've gotten what I want and now I can do whatever I want. Uh ug...doesn't work like that?? I've seen kids have to cancel big parties 2 days before the day of the party. The parents had already checked about refunds for cancellations, so the only one who was affected was the gal with the bad attitude and showing disrespect to her parents?
