What can I substitute for eyeliner?

Any type of make up pencil would work, so if you have lipliner or eyebrow pencil in a colour that would be nice on your eyes then use that. If you do the eyeshadow idea, then mixing it with vaseline also works to make a gel you can put on with a brush :)

Be sure that anything you substitute is makeup and was made to be put on the face and near your eye. Your eyesight is delicate and you should be using any household products or anything not designed to be makeup. If your out of eyeliner you can use mascara to make it appear you have eyeliner on either by filling in your eyelashes more than usual, or being sure to touch the actual lid while applying the mascara. You can also use any type of eyeshadow or even better eyeshadow cremes and pencils as a substitute eyeliner. The last resort would be a lip liner…be sure to put it on lightly though since it will smudge a bit more than an eyeliner.

use a thin eyeliner brush with eyeshadow and apply it in sweeping motions. works the same as eyeliner.

one thing you can do is get a angle brush thin one and put a little water on it and then use the color shadow ie. black or brown etc that you would like as eyeliner and brush it on. I do this when i’m out or can’t find my liquid liner. Plus it dries as a powder and looks great!
