Stupid Face Creams

Okay so I tried a new face cream treatment thing, and it worked amazingly for like a week. And I was putting it on twice a day, in the morning and at night. But yesterday I was running really late so I didn’t get a chance to put it on in the morning. When I got home my face was bugging me a little bit, just a tiny bit uncomfortable so I figured I should put the treatment on then. But after that my face like is terribly terribly dry and I don’t know what to do. I tried moisturizers and stuff and it’s fine for a little bit but then it’s dry again after a few minutes. Help??? (And yeah I stopped using the stuff)

What kind of face cream is it? If you were using it twice a day then your skin became very dry I’m guessing that it was some kind of acne cream? If so, they work on the principle that by drying out your skin it will also dry out any blemishes - which is fine if applied only directly to the spot itself but if you put it on your whole face then it is going to dry your skin. Don’t use it everyday, use it only when needed and invest in a good moisturiser which has no colours or fragrances.
