Besides the obvious cosmetology classes, you need business, management, and financial types of classes as well.

I have to agree…A beauty salon can go anywhere from hair, make up, nails, wax & facials!

Knowing what you want to do is step one & then knowing how to market yourself once you have that degree is step 2…so knowing about owning a business is very crucial to your success! Also you cant just count on an accouter because if you dont watch them & are up to date with your books then they will rob ya blind, so know what you are doing on a financial side!

Another thing…you need to have patience & time…dont think that just because you want this means you can be successful…you really need good publicity like perhaps working at a salon first gaining trust of clients & then think about opening a place of your own!
