Not studying. Some are out partying the night before, some dealing with issues and others just plain lazy. Another reason is to not face embarrassment. They wouldn't want to look like nerds but they'd need to impress their parents who can ground then for falling back. It also takes weight off you back. In this life we have to willingly do good to be good people. If we had a one way ticket to heaven, I don't think many people would care about really being good people.
Parents also want their children to be educated and some talk their children in going out if they pass their exams. Especially today, students don't want to be home studying and so they go to the alternative way. Cheating. It's not hard to do. They think it'll fool their parents and they don't have to bury their head in school books to understand topics. Not everyone is taught to not cheat from a young age and so they grow up to the habit of cheating. These days it's so casual that no one cares why anymore.
Panicking and laziness. If someone thinks that they won't pass and they really want or have to then they might resort to cheating. Or if they can't be bothered to study or if they can't be bothered with you harrsassing them if they fail it, they might cheat then
Somehow I agree with Karojo, teachers often make the situation worse. They could have given a very serious punishment to a student who are caught cheating to give lessons to him and to other students.
Not getting caught. I remember when I was in school I copied homework every morning because I always got away with it. Had I been caught I probably would have done it myself after woods. Lol.
Being lazy perhaps, not studying. There could be genuine reasons though, personal things, it's easy to get sidetracked so their only option is to cheat.
I've heard at least two of my teachers last year say that they've noticed cheating, and did nothing. That's what I mean, like the ones who do notice.
The fact that they did not pay attencion in class, did not study hard enough, or they just don't want to work trough or read the problems.
they feel stressed about not doing well, or they just didnt put the effort into studying, so they cheat off of whoever possible
meaning that now I should start examining more closely to their work and see if it is theirs or copied? Sounds good idea....
Maybe they don't know the work and r afraid to ask for help, so they cheat so hopefully they won't b noticed needing help
Adding to this sometimes stress causes students to forget what they have studied and this can cause cheating as well.
:O I didn't know that! That shouldn't be accepted or aloud..wharever.
I think the real question is why do some teachers allow it to happen?
A lazy, selfish and dishonest / borderline criminal personality.
....I don't think the teachers know most of the time?
I don't know , I didn't cheat today though(:
yay well done :)
hahha (:
