"following" me on here?
{optional rant commences}
When I joined the site, I set "automatically follow anyone who follows me", on the grounds that it seemed to be the courteous thing to do and (at that time) it was transparently simple, to:
(a) change that setting so as not to automatically follow people anymore; (b) un-follow person(s) whom you did not wish to follow anymore; and (c) stop particular person(s) following you anymore.
How come:
what originally seemed to be a nice flexible aid to sociable interaction, has now become just another unwanted spamming mechanism, made freely available for the use of one-stop parasitic commercial flyer distributors, whose garbage cannot even be binned like the junk they shove into our snail-mail boxes?
{optional rant ends}
Thanks - I try to be. It is a habit developed over many years of working as a Lecturer in Further & Higher Education. Some of the subjects I taught were inherently boring, and the only way to guarantee the rapt attention of the students was to throw a few unexpected funny bits in amongst the tedious technical stuff. Seemed to keep everybody on their toes, rather than napping on their desks.
I didn't think there was to be honest, but it was a bit quiet so I thought I might as well have a therapeutic rant, and listen for the hollow echoes.
I dont know but I dont think there is a way to change it
You are very entertaining :-)
THank you.
