Stomach pains and vomiting after gastric bypass and baby?

I had gastric bypass surgery in 2005. Since then I’ve had my gall baldder removed and had my first baby. I can not eat half as much as other patients who had the same surgery. When I was pregnant, I threw up several times daily. My daughter is now 8 months old. For the last month I’ve been getting sick again. I took a pregnancy test and it said no. Has anyone else had this surgey then had a baby shortly after? What were your experiences? Like how much can you eat at a time? Popcicles help with the nausa. Any other suggestions?

Hi,

It’s my understanding that vomiting is a common after-effect of gastric bypass. However, if you didn’t vomit as frequently before the pregnancy as now, you should really contact your gastric bypass surgeon. If he/she doesn’t have answers, talk to your OBGYN. You need to be feeling well to enjoy the time with your new baby :)
