When something starts to bother you, what do you do to keep from getting mad or upset?

I cry, for release.

I play the piano, listen to calming music, or vent in my diary. I dont know what cant keep you from getting mad or upset but I know those things help bring me down from that point really fast :)

I do that a lot too. I wasnt going to admit it until someone else did as well.

I get away from what ever it is, and tell myself “whatever, that is soo stupid, not even worth getting mad or upset about it” then find something to do that I find fun to get my mind off of it. =]

For me, it depends on what it is that’s bothering me. If it’s something small, I’ll blog about it. If it’s something big, I talk to my friends and they support me. When I’m around something that bothers me, I just walk away.

I write it all down, it’s a nice way to vent. Or I tell my close friends.

Go for a run, Draw a picture, Drink heaps of water, Make a list or random stuff, Play the piano, Play with my cat or dog (because when playing with small animals you have to be gentle and it will calm you down I guess..). I don’t really get angry all that much though.

Breathe… deeply lol.. It’s hard to remember to do it, but it helps me a lot when I do.. go for a walk (It releases endorphins).. write, listen to music, watch a funny movie, call somebody that could make me laugh.. or to just vent to. . . :)
