Woow… umm me personally it is a heck of a lot of work. Im starting a nonprofit organizations but now that im in college I hardly ever have time. You must write a business plan and all of that get in touch with people that can help. REsearch the things you are trying to help like if you want money to go to shelters and stuff like that not only research that but research other charities and or organizations that are doing what your doing and see how succesful it is and notice what you may want to do so that your organization can help. I have never heard of an age limit to start this except for just the banking and such but if you want it to just be a [start off] start by having little functions such as: lemonade stands. meetings, school doantions. a dance. something to get the community involve but that may also have you join with another child abused charity 1st. Hope this helped Good Luck :)

Hey, I’m also planning a charity event this year, here’s how we started.

We started by doing research on what we wanted to do, for example get some statistics on the number of sick and abandoned teens currently out there in your country and the effect that this has on the economy and these teens life (for example you could go and find out if they are more likely to commit crime - which then doesn’t only affect them)

Then we started by making a presentation, where we told people about what we do/want to do, it’s a good starting point, because it tells people what you are about and what difference you’ll be making

And from there go and spread the word and try and raise funds, you can maybe start by speaking to your pastor at a local church or like you said your teacher. You’ll be surprised to see how many people will be willing to help.

If you need anything else, just funmail me.
