How can you start getting credit at stores?

Answer #1

Given that you’re 16 you can’t get a credit card on your own. If you get your parents to sign one with you, you’ll be able to start building your credit. Generally though you dont need much credit to open up accounts at stores, but you do need a base amount.

Answer #2

nd how much is that base amount?

Answer #3

I have no clue. I wasnt able to get a card for a few months, but after about a year of having my phone, cable and internet being paid off under my name I guess I had enough credit to get a card at a few stores…

Answer #5

You can’t, you’re 16… You need a parent to do it.
