think I wanna drop some weight and do stripping

ummm I hate my job and I think I wanna drop some weight and do stripping until I have enough money to move. or like a topless bar or something I dunno how I feel about full nudity! ugh I’m scared…what do you think of dancers?

Answer #1

you don’t have to put it on a resume. and I would use my current job if I were to put it on there.

Answer #2

I don’t think you should become a stripper, because this isn’t a good job to have and although yes, you need the money it is not a good idea because it may come to back to haunt you in later life. And if you are insecure about yourself this job isn’t a very good idea.

Answer #3

You may think it is a good idea now but think about the consequences. It could come back to haunt you in later life. Like what if someone you knew came in and saw what you were doing? Depending on who it is, it could affect future job prospects. I wouldn’t do it personally, especially as you can very easily get sucked in to drugs and prostitution once you are in the stripping scene.

Answer #4

I don’t think negatively of dancers as a group. There are dancers who are intelligent and honorable. BUT, there are so many more who are simply prostitutes and drug addicts.

The problem with strippers is that you find yourself in a situation where you are simply the object of men’s fantasies, basically a sex-toy for their entertainment and amusement. That tends to lower a girl’s self-esteem and allows them to easily fall prey to drugs and prostitution.

I think, in most states, you have to be 21 to work in such a club.

You would be much better off working as a waitress in a popular restaurant.

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

Answer #5

Stripping is a degrading job, you have to think more about it then simply the money. There are many other jobs, like bartending, that are similar in requirements and you can make just as much money. Also, in reference to the resume comment, there are plenty of jobs that conduct full background checks before highering someone. Even if you didn’t put it on your resume they would be able to find out that you worked there and possibly not higher you because of it. Jobs that conduct these searches are state/federal government jobs, any jobs you work with children (in most states anyway) etc.

Answer #6

Go meet some retired strippers. Strippers usually leave broke, addicted and have learned to abjectify people so they can use an manipulate them. I usually ruins their lives. It’s not echnically prostitution, but they leave with much the same problems as prostitutes do.

Answer #7

I think they can make a lot of money, but also a lot of strippers have sex for money and participate in other questionable activities like drug abuse. I’ve heard that strippers have to pay money to the club to dance on their stage so the club is basically like a pimp taking away money from you. I’ve met strippers before and they were nice but I would be lying if I said I didn’t think less of them because of their occupation. It would be kind of weird to explain to people what you do for a living.
