What does it mean if someone says "candles burn if you're not careful'?
Someone was talking about their beliefs, and someone commented that their positivity is a turn on. So, someone else said ‘’candles also burn if you’re not careful’’… what did they mean?
I think it is a metaphor that could mean being positive is dangerous, I’m not sure how but it isnthe only way I see it fitting. Or possibly to then person who said it is a turn on, that they may try and convert them?
I think it relates to the fact that something that’s quite often positive and beautiful, can also be negative if not utilized in proper ways and taken great care of. As an example, a candle is beautiful and for the most part, will not cause people any harm. If you leave it unattended or are careless with it, though, it could very well burn the house down. The same goes for positivity. Positivity is a great thing, but not all situations call for it, and if you’re constantly positive about everything, there’s a chance that you’ll be positive about something that’s dangerous or not good for you. If you are, you’re setting yourself up for hurt. So, in that sense, you must not be careless with it.
