Someone I care about has changed and it hurts

I have a guy best friend and we have a very close friendship, but over the past few months he has finally made some mates who are guys (he has only ever been friends with girls). He spends all of his time with them and I hardly see him anymore and I know that I am loosing him. He has a new best guy friend who he is constantly with, but at the moment he has told me that his new mate has been avoiding him. My mate then told me something which shocked me. He told me that he thinks he has started to have feelings for boys, and inparticular that new guy mate that he made friends with. He told me that he has told noone else about this, so I know that he trusts me. He also told me that he still thinks that he likes girls aswell. I told him that I would still be there for him no matter who he likes.

However nowerdays he keeps avoiding me and its hurting me inside. Especially when, I admit, that I do have feelings for him that is more than friends. I feel like he has changed in some way and that I don’t know him anymore. I assume it’s because he’s kind of confused, but he doesn’t know that it’s also hard for me to never see him and keep his secret.

I really don’t know what to do! I hope someone can help.
