I say pop....soda is just I don't know it reminds me of soap.
Pop but I used to say fizzy drink when I lived in England and yes, BBV, I love looking at peoples faces here in Canada when I tell them we used to say FIZZY DRINK. lol
When I'm not thinking... I will say "coke"... referring to any carbonated beverage. If I am being mindful of my environment... I will say "soft drink."
Where I grew up (Michigan) we said pop. Where I live now (Texas) we say soda. It's a regional thing.
Were crap in the UK at naming stuff...get this...some of us older brits call it a "Fizzy" drink.
Soda, though I've noticed that the further west you go into Missouri more people say pop.
Both soda and pop I guess, but I rarely say either one because I don't drink it.
I don't really say any, I call whatever I drink by it's actual name.
I call it a carbonated beverage... lol jk! I usually say soda.
