which source of information is an example of a primary source?
Any original research is a primary source.
That means that any scholarly article or book that reports on original research or study, or is an original study comparing various earlier studies and offering its own conclusions is a primary source.
A primary source can certainly be a published work (usually is), but it has to be based on original research and findings, and not simply a re-hash of someone else's work.
Google has never been a 'source' - it's an excellent search engine that can direct you to many primary sources, since so many articles published in good academic journals are available online. I use it all the time in my own editing work. . OK?
google and wikipedia are NOT primary.. an example of primary would be if, lets say your doing reserch on the history of money... a primary source would be the US mint for example
