Can I fix my bad dye job at home?

Home More advice Beauty & Style

I was going to lighten my hair today, then dye it ash blond next week, my mate got kinda excited and asked if she could do it. I can't say no to people so I said she could. Now I'm used to dyeing my hair, I've done it a fair few times (semis) but turns out she'd never even dyed her own. Anyway it looked fine till I washed the stuff out, its patchy and not even blond, turns out she didn't even finish the bottle. I have a rosy complection so I should avoid gold and copper, well its copper, its nice but makes my face look even redder!!! As I said, its really uneven, my roots up to about a centimetre haven't been touched and there are small yellow spots every now and again. It looks really bad and I really hate it, I think it makes me look ugly. Can I fix it at home (I still have the other dye I was going to use but surely dying over it will just make it patchy in a different colour) or do I need to get it done professionally?
