Beef pot Roast INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lb- 2lb. pot roast meat 1 dry package of Good Seasons Garlic Dressing 1 dry pkg of Italian (or Zesty Italian) Dressing 1 can of beer (your choice-not dark)
Place one envelope of Good seasons in bottom of crock pot. Place meat on top, top with other package of dressing and pour beer over all. Let cook 8-10 hours on low. If your a gravy maker, the sauce made into a gravy is YUMMY! I serve this with potatoes. xxxxxxx Bean Stew Ingredients: 1/2 cup lentils, rinsed, drained 1/2 cup navy beans, rinsed, soaked overnight, cooked until tender, drained 2 cups onions, chopped 2 cups celery, sliced 4carrots, scrubbed,sliced 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 cup barley 1/2 teaspoon thyme 1 large bay leaf 1 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 cup red wine 4 cups V-8 vegetable juice 2 cups water Preparation: Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook for 4 to 6 hours on high heat or for 8 to 10 hours on low heat. Remove bay leaf before serving xxxxxxxxx Cheesy Chicken INGREDIENTS 6 boneless chicken breast halves, without skin salt and pepper, to taste garlic powder, to taste 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup 1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup Preparation: Rinse chicken and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix undiluted soup and pour over chicken in a Crock Pot. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 6. I have soo many slow cooker recipes just ask.
My mum usually gets some lentils, red kidney beans, a ham hock, vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions etc), and mixes in a can of crushed tomatoes, some beef stock, and taco seasoning. She puts that in before she goes to work in the morning, and it's done by the time she gets home. Served with rice, mashed potatoes, or as a soup is so good :)
