That’s A Tough One,

 I mean this in the most appropriate way because you are a very young lady but I took a look at your picture and you are beautiful.  I really mean that.  I guess the most important thing is just to not believe the people who tease you.  You may want to confront them about it if it gives you trouble, let them know that it bothers you.  It's hard to say.  Where I am from, you would be considered a very attractive young lady and people wouldn't tease you about the completion of your skin.

I’m Native American & Have Been Teased About That Before By Even Friends Of Mine. I Either Shrug It Off Or If It Gets To Be A Problem, I Will Confront People.

A lot of people still have an issue with darker skinned people in our society. Unfortunately I saw this in my SIX year old niece! She was picking out which dolls she liked in a picture for a magazine, and she looked at the black doll and said “I don’t like her”, I asked her why and she told me it was because she was brown. My niece hasn’t been raised around racism, and our family is all white. She’s been around kids of color, but she just found that white dolls were prettier. Some people grow up thinking that the lighter skin is more beautiful. That doesnt make it right, but sometimes their thinking is never adjusted. Unfortunately, that leads to a case of teasing and whatnot. Just honestly, ignore them. They obviously have an issue withing themselves if they’re teasing you in the first place. You ARE pretty, so dont worry about it. Everyone has a different beauty. Let yours shine through no matter what.

I would NOT listen or pay any attention to the people that are saying those things about you. You are gorgeous! It doesn’t matter what your skin color is. The people who are making fun of you must be self consious about themselves. People that make fun of other people do it just to make themselves feel better or it’s because they are jealous of you. If they are girls they are most likely jealous because you are gorgeous. I wouldn’t worry about anything they say!! Just be you and don’t let anything they say affect you.
