Could I be sick from the beach?

I have flu-ish symptoms. I’m nauseous and have a stomach bug. On wednesday I ent to the beach with a couple of friends and I forgot about the cuts on my arm. When I got in the water it started burning my arm. The water was obviously salt water but it was green and had stuff floating in it. Could that be making me sick?

MOre than likely no… THere is a real bad stomach bug going around. I actually just go over it. I had to go to the doctor and everything just because I was too paranoid. LOL! But since it was salt water that dilutes what germs could be in it. So I would give it a day or two, drink a lot of fluids and go from there. If youre still sick on Monday then I would go to the doctor. But more than likely it is just the stomach bug thats going around.

Its possible what with the sewage and factory waste being dumped raw into the sea all around the world as common practise…and then there is ships that can get away with dumping vertually anything out at sea,it may have come in….also if where you live of even a hundred miles away has had a lot of rain recently that can overflow the sewage/drain system and just puts it all out to sea…could have washed down the coast and polluted your water?

Answer #3

It’s possible, but its likely to show on your wound rather than manifest itself in a general way….
