Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired

Okay, does it ever seem like youre sick all the time? I hate it so much. Sometimes im okay, I can talk normally, but usually later on in the day or something, my throat gets all fuzzy again, and I have to clear my throat before I say anything. Seems like I’ve always been this way, and im tired of it.

Like right now, today is March 30th, and I’ve been sick for almost a month now. You know, runny nose, sore throat, coughing, why am I still sick? I’ve tried this Equate Pain Reliever stuff, that is suppose to help relieve the common cold, I’ve tried Mucinex, and cough drops, but seems like I would have gotten over my cold already. What do you guys think? Yeah tomorrow im going to the Clinic at last! Probably just get some antibiotics or whatever…but why the heck am I sick all the freakin time? And what can I do about it?

Hey thanks you two for answering!

Hmmm I doubt its allergies…the mucus stuff is clear… but anyway, the doc has me on something for four days, and hopefully I will be better…I just dont see how it will help my throat though…oh well he said if it doesnt work to come back…man this sucks…

Actually it sounds like you have allergies. Is the mucus from your nose or throat clear? If it is clear or slightly yellow if your parents smoke, then it is allergies.

And pinkpearl is right. Forget antibiotics unless the doc tells you it is bacterial.

I know the feeling… living in a house of tissue boxes everywhere. At some point there’s always someone coughing or sneezing.

Have you considered that you might be slightly allergic to something in the house? Dust, feathers, cats, dogs?

Forget the antibiotics, though. They won’t work unless you’ve developed a bacterial infection, and you’d know that if you had a fever, malaise, feeling really terrible… it really just does sound like a virus thats stubborn to leave, or you could just be picking up colds a lot more.
