Should I tell him, and we could try to work it out?

Ok my boyfriend and I really like one another, but there is one problem, my parents!!! Ok he is black and I am white, but I don’t look like it. But he called my house one time and my mom answered the phone. She told me later that some black guy called! She was really mad! She said there better not be any black guy callin me. I said he was just a friend, but I lied cause he is way more than a friend, and I know that they would not have approved. So what should I do. Because my boyfriend doesn’t even know about any of this. Should I tell him, and we could try to work it out? Or should I not tell him? Also what should I say to my parents. Because they do not approve of him just because he is a different race. Which is totally wrong in the first place!

Hi dear

I am a mum of 2 kids (yes i am white) and my heart goes out to you with this problem i don’t know how old you are? and it is a hard call. I think your a lot older in years then your parents because you look fast the skin colour of perople and see them for who they are, you are not bron a reaces you are tort to be one. I would tell your boyfriend how your parents feel for i think he would all ready knows that it would be hard for the both of you. Your parents will aways be your Parents and they do love you don’t be mad at them for they know no better. be true to each other your friend and my best wishes to you both
