Should I take him back?

Okay, so if you go back and read my other questions about boys you will read about my exboyfriend Chase. Well, today I sent a picture through a text message to my friend to ask her if I should put it on myspace or not. but.. I accidentally sent it to chase and he was like “wow your hot”. I didnt realize that I accidentally sent it to him yet so I was like “uhm.. okay?” and then I went back to my sentbox and saw that I sent it to him and I was like ohmygoshh. he hasnt talked to me since our breakup but now that he saw that picture he’s texting me again. here’s how the convo went.

chase: wow your hot delaney: uhm.. okay? delaney: ohhh… sorry. I meant to send that to my friend. chase: its ok delaney: ha. so this whole time all I needed was to send you a picture to get you to talk to me? chase: sorry delaney: its okay… chase: so whats up delaney: just got home from field hockey. you? chase: watching tv delaney: oh chase: yeah. so you have a boyfriend? delaney: nope.. chase: ok do you like anyone? delaney: maybe. :x chase: who delaney: nobody… chase: tell me delaney: noo :/ chase: please delaney delaney: it wouldnt matter to you anyway. chase: well I have to go to football bye delaney: its you! okay? its you. I still like you. bye. :
-long pause, I thought he was gone- chase: I still like you to… bye lane lane <– THATS WHAT HE CALLED ME WHEN WE WERE GOING OUTTT ! (:

something tells me he’s going to ask me back out soon. but I dont know if I want to completely fall head over heels for him again. he’s hurt me enough. but I love him. I know I have to do whats best for me. but I dont know whats best for me anymore. one minute he makes me the happiest girl alive.. and the next minute he’s got me crying my eyes out. but he always has me forgiving him. and we ALWAYS find a way to work around our problems. he puts his best effort into it… I think. or he’s just acting? I really really want to go back out with him because I really really like him but im just scared. also, do you think he’s going to ask me back out anyway? I mean what if he doesnt text me when he gets home from football. I cant just start a conversation with him… it;d be weird. what if that was it? today and never again.

questions: if he asks me back out, should I take him back? in your perspective, does he seem like a trustworthy boyfriend? did I get my hopes up this high for no reason?
