Should I report my teacher?

I have this teacher at school and she is really cruel. She gives me detentions for simple things like forgetting books. Screams in my face when I forget stuff. Belittles me and makes me feel bad about myself. And I swear that my grades are dropping! She said that I was an A* student and now im only a C and im trying really hard. Im sitting my GCSES this may and am worried that she isnt giving me the help I need and am too scared to talk to her incase she bites my head of! I know that I only have a few months at school left, but now is an important time and cant deal with her mood swings every week! Its making my course extremly unenjoyable which is bad because when I took it I really liked it. Im not enjoying my lessons at all and dont know what to do. Any advice?

First tell your parents every little detail, then go to your school board

Report her and explain it to your parents so they can back you up.

Answer #4

YES!!! You should definetly report her. That sounds awful. You may want to make sure there are other classmates willing to back you up though. The more, the better.

Here ,, you gotta stand up for yourself . . Tell the teacher that she’s being unfair and tell her how you feel . . Maybe report her aswell and tell your parents if you haven’t already . . I go mad with teachers if there unfair with me ,, I scream my head off at them . . Only if they deserve it though :) just you HAVE to stand up for yourself ,, don’t be scared ,, all she can do is shout at you ? And sure your finished soon ,, it’s not like you need to be on her good side (sounds like you aren’t anyway) And your gunna do bad in your exams if she’s not teaching you right . . Good luck :P x

I wouldnt report her everyone says to but dont because they wont do anything. my 6th grade teacher called me a brat and told me to shut up and told me that she didnt want me in her class yes it was very messed up, but they dont do anything about it I don’t know why but they dont so it would be a wast of your time.

I agree.

I as a mother I will quickly ask for a one on one meeting with the teacher. Of course I will be nice, polite to her and then, I will ask her how she react when a student forgot to bring the book at her class? How the student can focus at her class if they are threaten? And for my part I will make sure I am prepared for the discussion such as bringing my concerns for example date, time, incidents in that particular day. Furthermore I will tell him/her being a teacher is a big responsibility to be a good example, respectful, understanding and to focus to his/her student success in their class ( Education ). There are no room for being mean, rude, ( power control ), embarrassing student or to anyone. And to reminder him / her that as parent-teacher relationships we have to work together for my child improvement in the class, to find ways of teaching skills that can easily understand ( It does not mean to lower his/ her teaching standard ) , focus on positive rather than negative attitude. And I will ask him / her for extra credit? 30 minutes tutorial or clarification after school? extended deadline for assignments ? recommended materials to read? Help line? etc. so that ( you ) or my child will able to catch up in her class…
