Should I read my horoscope?

I’ve been reading my horoscope for a while now and its always right. Very rarely will it be vague or hard to understand. But im a christian!! the bible says to stay away from astrology, palm readings, and horoscopes because they are all demonic and sinful. But if they are bad then why do they give you good advice that will help you in life? Horoscopes never say “aries is in your house of hate so go kill your neighbor!” they say things like “you should concentrate on your work now” or “take things slow this weekend, you dont want to do something you’ll regret”. Horoscopes give smart, helpful, and kind advice. So why are they so bad in God’s eyes?

Actually the only true horoscope as acknowlidged by astrological scolars can be made the second of birth. The specific position of the planets and the stars is unique, which makes the horoscope specific, not per day or per hour but per second. Your birth horoscope is unique and can show some very interesting things.

yeah Horoscopes are funny but are really stupid! I mean if you really believe that everything is in God’s hands then why are you reading them? people think they can tell you about your future and the thing is, you read them and you pursue them because you WANT them to be right. and if you look at different ones from magazines and stuff, they’re all different!! really whats the point? they’re stupid pointless devil worsipers eho create them. the devil is everywhere and he wants you to read them . don’t give in.voiceoflight knows her stuf!!

It’s very bad. Don’t read it.

In Acts, there’s a story of a slave girl who has a way of telling the future:

16Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. 17This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

(Acts 16)

This shows that while what they are saying can be accurate, we are NOT to consult from those means. Because that means in your heart you believe and TRUST those sources, more than what Christ can give you. If What Jesus give you is sufficient and you believe so, then why are you searching for other things? If you feel like it is insufficient, then work on your relationship with God so you can hear clearly from Him, that includes prayer and faith, don’t trust in these means. They are really ways to stray you from Christ.

The point is not whether the ‘advice’ are right or not. The point is that you are seeking wisdom from another source rather than seeking Christ and His Word, that is, the Bible for direction. Things like horoscope WANTS you hooked. It’s deceitful and it will eventually turn you away from God.

5 In both courts of the temple of the LORD, he built altars to all the starry hosts. 6 He sacrificed his sons in he fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced sorcery, DIVINATION and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking him to anger. (2 Chronicles 33:5-6)

DON”T read it. I used to too, and I found it very hard to stop but I did - and that is an evident enough to me that it’s not okay - the very fact that it was hard to stop. What you put your faith in is in effect what you believe and trust - and if it’s not Jesus Christ who died on the cross for your sins and rose on the third day, then you have to ask today whom you will serve.

I too enjoy reading my horoscope. I talked to my pastor about it, and he told me that it is okay. As long as you seek God first, and try not to believe the horoscope too much. What I do is I read my horoscope the day after I’m supposed to. Then I can see if it is really true or not.(:

Hope I helped!

Answer #7

It’s not bad in God’s eyes. That’s man who has written the bible might think it is. There’s nothing wrong with astrology or reading your horoscope. It has nothing to do with being sinful or demonic at all. It’s not like God is gonna hate you just cause you read your horoscope. That’s stupid. To me it doesn’t make any sense what christians say about astrology. It’s all bullcrap in my opinion. Do what you want to do. If you like reading your horoscope well then so be it. There’s nothing holding you back

horoscopes cant predict anything there done by using a technique called the Barnum effect using statements that sound personnel but can in fact be applied to anyone and anyone can learn how to construct such a statement you should look up the Barnum experiments heres an example

You have a need for other people to like and admire you, and yet you tend to be critical of yourself. While you have some personality weaknesses you are generally able to compensate for them. You have considerable unused capacity that you have not turned to your advantage. At times you have serious doubts whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing.
