How is shopping in New York?

lol ohhh i live in new jersey.

For most Americans, NY shopping is considered very expensive and it certainly is. However, clothing and retail is generally much cheaper than in Europe and S. America.

Quick example, I was in London about a year ago, went to the GAP to but a few t-shirts and one decent button down (the t-shirts were $30 USD each, compared to would be about $12 USD in the US and the dress shirt was similarly more than twice as much as it would have been in the US).

Your smartest bet is to try on in nice stores but buy online to the extent possible.

Are u serious, it;s just across the bridge, not in another continent! It really depends what you are looking for.

If you are looking for named brands then yeah, your gonna be shopping in the city or some department store, so of course you are going to be paying an arm & a leg for it.

If your a reg down to earth kind of of girl then ur gnna go shopping on 34th street like the rest do :) Some places are expensive, avoid going to places like blooming-dales & macy’s stick to no names like sears, targets or kohls for more cheaper prices. I mean seriously if you are gonna go for a Victoria Secrets night ware and are asking is that expensive then yeah it is! No matter where you shop..NJ or NY.

Personally I loved 23rd street…everything by the dozens…you cant get a single thing there in 1…but it’s shopping heaven. :P
