Want to change my style

I used to be a tomboy and I didnt wear nice clothes, but no I have a burning desire to get cute clothes and lip gloss/etc.

I dont know what happened, but if I go to cute clothes that fit me, I am worried that my friends will laugh at me. I just dont know what to do!

once a tomboy always a tomboy im srry but that life you cant…well you could but your always going to be shaped like a tomboy that your body type now.

Answer #2

I used to be like that, I always wore shirts too big for me lol, but when my mom took me to the mall to look in stores, I started to look at all the other of clothes that I wouldnt normally try on, but I did and they werent so bad. So just try stuff on, youll find the right stuff, and I dont think your friends would laugh at you they may just say you changed!

If your friends would laugh at you, they’re not real friends. True friends love you for who you are no matter what you look like, wear, or how you appear. And you should dress however you like without caring what other people think, and I was in the same position, last year I was a tomboy, and I still am a bit, but I wear cuter clothes now. And as long as you’re changing for yourself and nobody else, go for it. <3

I agree with briand88, but if you dont want to deal with it, you could do it subtly… start wearing lip gloss every so often, then kick it up to everyday… once they get used to that, go with the shoes, and then a cute top, or a cute skit etc, if you do it slowly enough they’ll get used to it… personally I think if they do laugh, it’s just because they’re trying to deal with a new image of you. It’s hard to adapt to change, and so people laugh to try and get the change to stop. If you just keep wearing what you want, they’ll get used to it, and it wont be a big deal.

Answer #5

Do whatever you want. If your friends laugh just tell them it’s what you want to do and they can go suck themselves off in the corner. Just act like it doesn’t bother you and you’ll be happy either way (without saying it) and they’ll respect you and forget about it. Or you could just say “I do what I want” seriously for a second, and then smile. Whatever you do, keep it short and simple to keep the questions to a minimal.

a slow change would be good. like ty said, a little lip gloss , a little mascara. I would hope that my friends would laugh if I went from jeans and t-shirts one day, to lacey tops and mini skirts the next. lol. you would laugh also. life is about doing what YOU want. also, ask for their advice. then they are part of the “change”. and btw, I STILL wear jeans and t-shirts. am married to a good guy and have a great child. I do what I want. no one seems to notice anymore…
