Is it possible to have shingles and genital herpes?

  There are several types of herpes simplex...shingles being one of them (cold sores, chicken pox, genital herpes and shingles). I'm assuming you had this checked out by a Dr., and it is he who called it shingles?? I've never heard of anyone getting shingles "down there"...

  Shingles is a type of herpes, but it's more like chicken pox than genital herpes - although there are similarities, it is a different virus that causes genital herpes.
