sharp pain in vagina

ok I was just layin in bed and all of a sudden I had a sharp pain inside my vagina. I am 17 and I don’t know what it is. I DONT have any STDs and I don’t know if im pregnant or not or if that would have anything to do with it. it just happened out of the blue and felt like a pin was stabbing me. it lasted a few seconds and stopped. it happened a few seconds later but not as bad. what is it?

Me too Iam been having the same thing but it last for a minute or 2.Its been happening since I was 11 years old and now Iam 15 years old and still have it.The pain is sharp like a knife down there I cant do anything when it happens. I can be doing anything when it happens like standing lying down sitting running.

Could just be a cramp, nothing to worry about I’m sure. Perhaps your period is on the way as well?

It should still be nothing to worry about though, unless it keeps recurring in the next few days/weeks, then you’ve got something to worry about. Cramps happens all the time, and sometimes it could just be some rogue gas floating around.

I have been getting shooting pains down below and to the back passage, its like some one has got a knife and twisting it, its not down to periods as have not had them for 9 mnths, this has gone on for two days now, its even painfull to sit down, walk…Dont know whats going on, and try as I might to get in Doctors is a joke. xx

I’m 19 and have the SAME problem. It has been happening a lot. I’m not pregnant and I”m not about to start my period so it’s freaking me out because it’s excruciating pain. I’ve done some research because the doctor I asked wasn’t much help. It might be cysts, endometriosis or PCOS. I’m going to my doctor because those things can be serious. You might want to too.
