What are your opinions on Severus Snape?

I know its been out for a long time…but what did you guys think about Snape? I mean I hated him since book 1. but book 7 says it all and I respect his memory more then ever. But I was wondering what other HarryPotter fans thought? or…shall I say SeverusSnape fans…haha… ??

Well, my opinions on him changed while reading the last book. I kind of felt bad that I hated him all that time…since he wasn’t the bad guy I thought he was.

At the same time…I find it hard to believe that Snape protected Harry after Harry’s father tormented him so much. Is anyone THAT good?
