How to sell clothes faster?

I’ve been trying to sell my clothes for like maybe 4 months now off & on I’m having no luck at all! Most of the clothes are new & still have tags on them! I’ve tried posting ads on the online classifieds in my state (its like the newspaper but online) & I’ve tried setting up a blog sale both have failed 2 times I’ve seen other people online sale everything within minutes but I guess that’s because they have a big following or whatever :S…

Is there some place I can go to sale them? like a thrift store? also I have other things that I want to sale besides clothes Like games, games systems, aquarium stuff etc. where would I be able to sell that?

I don’t know what to do! any suggestions are welcome! Thanks! :)

Put them on ebay or something

Well for games and game systems, you could try bringing it in to Gamestop they trade in games sometimes. As well, I’d try websites like ebay, craiglist or kijiji. Along with that, I’d post adds on your facebook or any sort of online page you have, show your friends, ask them to post it on theirs as well as your family. As well for clothes I’d try any thrift store or goodwill.

try a garage sale kind of thing. just a suggestion: if selling doesn’t workout u should consider donating some of them it should make u feel good at least well atleast it does for me.

Ebay is your best bet for games/system. Gamestop will lowball you on what they pay. Been there, done that. I have a friend that sells all the clothes her kids grow out of and get great deals for new ones on Ebay. She swears by it.

My best advice is as follows…nothing is better then actually the good old fashion fliers on cars, grocery bulletin boards, local papers & door to door. (Word of mouth is your key to gaining clientele…give small versions out as a gimmick to bring the clients in…) Make sure all your info is on it. What for instance? The title of your Label, what you offer & why your brand is the new thing, hot off the press! :)

So, under that have your cell number, email & the most important thing, the website! Why? well we know statistics, most people are online if they stumble upon your site they will get to decide: “for me or not for me…!” Make offers that will leave them saying wow, I am coming to shop…offer certain discounts like a “Summer Fun in the sun”, first 10 customers get a buy one plus get a free accessory (make sure you have something…like a gimmick that you create before hand to introduce your clothes) See how things are moving…if you need to, have another sale called: “Back to School sale…!” Offer buy 1 get sec for half price..for the first 15 customers…try to have fresh ideas and always think about expanding your line…if it is clothes add something to it…a miniature hand bag..or hat…maybe some sun glasses…maybe some belts or even pins…any accessory….then Add it to the site & make a new discount…new added collection…

Marketing is crucial when trying to sell…and just see how things go from there…

If you see things picking up & think it is too much & you need a store…then you can rent a small place & sell from there.

Hope this helped with a few ideas. Good Luck!

I agree with adit, a garage sale works best for me! Post up signs around the neighbourhood and you’ll have a bunch of ppl coming to you. Clothes are tricky to sell at times, but if they are new, I don’t see the issue, most ppl don’t trust buying clothes online through things like ebay how ever, well my friends don’t most ppl try to scam you. So best bet for clothes, if they don’t sell, donate :)
