Ring-around-a-Rosy. That whole song is about Black Death. “Ring-around a rosy”, is asymptom. “Pocketful of posy” was an attempted cure/prevention. “Ashes, ashes” stands for the skin shade the person gets. “We all fall down” death from sickness.

i thought the meaning were: ring-around-the rosie, the ring around the dots pocket full of posies, they used to carry bags with posies because they thought you got the disease from smelling bad. ashes ashes, you got burned we all fall down, everyone’s dead honestly the song intrigues me

I thought Ring around the rosie was the bumps or whatever that you get around your cheeks, pocket full of posies, because they used to walk around outside holding hand fulls of flowers under their noses so they didnt have to smell the corpses that were everywhere, ashes, ashes was because they were so overwhelmed with corpses that they just started burning them in piles out in the streets, and we all fall down is we all die. :)
