Scary hamster

My hamster has been loose for a month and I recaptured him. But now, he won’t let me pick him up. He nips and squeals at me. He got mean :( I want to hold him… How?

Well since he was out so long he could have pick something up and got sick! So put him in a cage and see if he has any sratches or if he acts funny ( you know like a tummy ache) and you could take him to a vet.
