Saying thank you...

Sometimes I forget to say thank you. We all do it, so don’t say that you don’t.

Recently, I got my license. I said that I was going to pay for it. Next day, I still hadn’t gotten to the bank yet, and my mom said that her and dad would pay for it (she wrote a check to the DMV). I said “oh, ok”, w/o saying thank you. I forgot to say thank you because we were really busy doing something. My dad gave me crap about it the next day. Whenever he does something like that, it makes me feel guilty, and I don’t then see the value of saying thank you just for saying it. Any comments?

Your dad probably didn’t feel appreciated when you didn’t say thank you,try saying thank you today when someone gives you something. I know it’s hard but hey,we all gotta learn.

I dont know… my parents dont exactly expect a thank you for giving me money…(that would be like thanking them for making dinner), but I guess he wants to feel like you appreciate it?
