So i got my new phone today, basically to cut it short when i connect my phone to my laptop using the USB cable, it will charge so it is obviously recognising it however it doesnt always show up on my laptop that its connected, as in i cant transfer files or keep it together. Yet it still charges/ What could be the issue?
Well im reading some comments on the USB problems, seems a lot of users have this problem, it seems unrelated to the PC and phone but to the USB cable itself, if you could get your hands on another cable it would be great (users reported charging fine but no connection to file transfers) for now you could use something called Wifi file explorer, it has a free version and you can transfer your stuff until you try another USB cable :)
Well, did it have any software prepackaged with it? are you sure they installed correctly (to be sure install them again with the phone disconnected) Did you try using a different USB slot? it could be the one you're using is damaged or something Were all the drivers installed correctly? this is different from the software install to roll those back we need to go deeper into the system, try the above first and get back to me
I think you should try to re-install all drivers and after check it. Or you should connect your data cable in another USB slot. Or just you should check your Samsung Galaxy S3 phone with customer care.
K.C. told you the phone sucked lol...now you know whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Yes! tried all of that. Even changing the ports.
