What was the rule for matching skin tone to hair color, cool to warm, or cool to cool etc.?

Answer #1

The rule is that you take two colors: gold and silver. Put the two colors to your skin and whichever color is brighter to your skin tone, that is the one that appeals to you.

If it is the gold one, you need to use warm colors. If it is the silver, use cooler colors against the skin and hair.

Warmer colors include red, orange, blonde, etc.

Cooler colors are ones like blue, violet, black, etc.

Hope this helped you out. :D

Oh I like your name! It’s interesting X) What kind of name is it(country-wise)? Well first of all, thanks for trying to answer my wierd question, but I meant do you pair a warm hair color with a cool skin tone, or do you pair a cool hair color with a cool skin tone(etc.)?

I’m Moldovan-Uzbek, but my name is mostly from Greek and Russian origin. According to my sister, you’re supposed to use the same color pattern for both. If your hair is a cool color, then your skin needs to be a cool color because it’ll look better. For example, my older sister is pale, so if she dyed her hair blonde, it would be warm to cool. Won’t look as great. xP
