I kinda think I wanna be a RN when I grow up. how long do you have to go to school?

Answer #1

My cousin is 27 … I don’t remember how long exactly she was in school for, but she just graduated and already got a job as an RN starting at $26/hour.

Wages & Employment Trends

National Median wages (2009) $30.65 hourly, $63,750 annual Employment (2008) 2,619,000 employees Projected growth (2008-2018) Much faster than average (20% or higher) Projected job openings (2008-2018) 1,039,000

This site is amazing, it has all the requirements and job descriptions of pretty much every single job ever listed, and if you go to the page and type in RN, it will pull up wages per state. Your state is not listed so I couldnt find it.

Answer #5

No.

Answer #6

You can either get an associates or a bachelors degree in nursing (2-4 years).

Answer #7

The bad part is that you will earn every penny. Nurses have one of the most stressful jobs and is very common to suffer from what nurses call burn out. If you are in a big hospital you will have no life. Your job will be your life. Some shifts are 15 hour long and they will work you to death.

thanks
