How do you get rid of unwanted flooring on Sims 2?

I’m trying to delete this unwanted square of flooring, but it’s not budging, even when I use the floor tool on build mode, and try to delete with the ‘ctrl’ key! It’s just there chilling in mid air;L Oh, and I have the same problem with stairs! It won’t let me delete them, when I want to buy new stairs:’(! Any ideas? Thanks:)

How do you get rid of unwanted flooring on Sims 2?

Go to build mode>Flooring>hold down CTRL and click on the floor board you want to remove or click and drag then click to delete flooring.

Hhmm… That’s happened to me too. What you wanted to do is while you are playing the game, press Ctrl + Alt + C and a little white box should appear at the top of the screen. In the box, type this exactly: “boolprop testingcheatsenabled true”. Then, go over to the random flooring and hold down Shift, and click on it. “Force Error” should come up. Out of Reset, Cancel, and Delete, hit Delete. That should get rid of it :) You can use Force Error on anything; Sims, unwanted furniture, doors that won’t close (those are annoying!), that sort of thing. Hope I helped :) Happy Simming!
