How do you get rid of a bump with a tragus piercing?

i need help!! i got my tragus pierced about three and a half months ago. about a month ago i noticed a small, flesh colored bump next to it. i kept cleaning the piercing with ear piercing care solution and put some neosporin on the bump but it never went away. lately it has gotten bigger, redder, and looks like it is filled with fluid. i went back to where i got it pierced and the guy said to pop it and put an aspirin/water paste on it. i called several other piercing places and most said to use sea salt soaks, or tea tree oil, or pop it and use bactine. two others told me to use the aspirin method as well. however, one place said to NEVER use any sort of salt on a piercing. i need an answer so this bump and irritation goes away!!

Answer #1

You can use sea salt on a piercing…not regular salt. The shop i worked in for years recommened sea salt for cleaning and when an infection arose.

Answer #2

ice it. :)

Answer #3

I got that, went to the doctors, he said its an infection and gave me antibiotics and told me to take the piercing out. If yours is red and hurts when you touch it then its probably an infection. :/
