How do you get rid of anxiety?

I hate feeling panicked randomly or suddenly nervous out of nowhere, it’s starting to really affect me.

Answer #1

I found that working out, or a run will take you mind off things, great to work out stored frustration and anger.

Answer #2

It seems like muscle failure relives a lot of issues.

Answer #3

Why not take a break? Go sit in a quiet room for a few and collect urself? Chris’s idea is a good way as well

Answer #4

Well yours may work very well you could go out and run then break your leg, now you have more anxiety.

Answer #5

In addition to what Chris said, just when you find yourself feeling anxious, really try to loosen up. Relax your shoulders, straighten up, and just release any tension. I also find that to combat the psychological factor of it, it helps to just think to yourself: “I don’t give a damn. Who cares?” (However, this works best when you feel embarrassed or anxious around other people.) Personally, I always try to adopt Eminem’s attitude when I feel anxious or tense - his “I just don’t give a ** attitude. But I guess this might be more effective for me because I am a major fan :P But I find that it really helps! Perhaps you could try your own variation of that technique? It is also important that you try to identify and combat the cause of your anxiety. Hope this helped a little bit! :)

Answer #6

Lol that’s very true

Answer #7

Try doing some yoga and/or meditation. Its a great way to calm the mind and the body.

Answer #8

You can’t. The more you fight it, the more anxious you’re going to get. You learn how to deal with the anxiety. Instead of immediately reacting (remember, it’s just a feeling, nothing’s going to happen if you just sit there for a minute), why don’t you check to see what you’re feeling anxious about. Sometimes you’ll realize that whatever you’re feeling anxious about is something you can talk yourself through. For some reason we’re lead to believe there are bad and good emotions. There aren’t. I know it isnt pleasant. But emotions exist for a reason. Try to run away from them will just make it worse in the end. Try some yoga and meditation, it does help you focus. Keep yourself grounded.

Answer #9

I agree with imlonely . I also think that maybe you could find someone you’re close to, and talk to them. Holding things in does nothing for you in the end, but build up stress and anger. Hang in there. It’ll get better. I promise :)
