Will losing weight just make my ribs stick out more?

I have a problem, I really want to lose weight but in the bottom of my stomach because I have a kind of pouchy stomach, the problem is, my rib cage sticks out a lot and I’m afraid if I lose weight it will just make my ribs stick out and I wont lose anything in my stomach. Advice?

every girl has a pouch at the bottom of there stomach, even the girls with six packs! but if you want to lessen it, then just work out your lower abdomen, you can look up exercises to do that. No need to lose weight, just tone up =)

I have the exact same problem! I am self conscious about it because I think I look weird in a bikini (not super flat stomach but then ribs that stick out). I’ve been doing cardio and pilates to try and firm up the lower stomach. Haven’t been with the routine long enough to see if it works.

I have the same thing!! everyone had that!! if your ribs already show so much you don’t need to lose anymore weight.

Hmmm, even though I’m a guy, I’m often made fun of because of my big ribs. Not sure there’s much you can do to protect against it.
