Revelations - Past, present or future?

I have read the book of Revelations in the Christian bible, and there seems to be many different signs and events. The thing is, I have heard several people say that a few things in the book of Revelations have already happened, such as a part of the book which talks about a 3rd of the Earth being wiped out, which I have heard is talking about the Black Plague. Should we expect that some has happened, is happening, and/or is yet to come?

IF in fact the prophecy that the Black Death would wipe out so many people was correct, wouldn’t you say an almighty power then could have saved at least HIS followers if he had all this info available??? Those people died under terrible conditions!

Approximately six million European Jews died during The Holocaust, HIS CHOSEN NATION! If it is in ONE PERSON’S Power to help his loved ones,(And he supposedly know all of our futures) why wouldn’t he? Either he doesn’t care, OR he does not exist!

Somewhere in the bible it forbids a person to visit a fortune teller because you are not allowed to know what the future holds for you. The very same bible do exactly the opposite from his own rules, so called “prophets” who so badly wanted to predict “our” future and followers so badly want to bend facts to fit prophecies! For THIS reason, I would say, live your life, forget the “if’s” because there simply isnt a person (or anyone for that matter) who could predict the future!

Revelations was written under the influence of mushrooms. It’s the author’s psychodelic interpretation of the events from 70 to 135 CE.

Answer #3

My opinion is that nearly anything that happened or is prophesized in the bible could be interpreted in so many different ways and used to identify just about any major event in history. Whether anything that the bible talks about has happened or has yet to happen, one can only guess.

I’m athiest myself, but I hoped this helped a little.

Answer #4

It’s actually Book of Revelation. Not plural. Not sure why so many people pluralize it.

In any case, I’m not aware of anyone accurately predicting anything using the Book of Revelation. After events occur they go back and claim that such and such an event is such and such in Book of Revelation. This is the same way followers of Nostradamus operate

I say always be on guard coze ull never know when Jesus is comming back and btw my bible say a large occurrence of homosexually is also a sign of the end.
