Restart Computer.. completely...

I have a disk that says “Operating System - Reinstallation CD” is that the cd to use when you want to start your computer completely over? and if so, how do I use it?? because I put it in, and it’s not working…

how do I back up files?? and reboot is turning off and back on again right? cause that’s not working. :( and how do I know which files to back up??

First, back up any important documents because it will return your computer to factory settings.

Put the disk in and reboot the computer.

Any pictures, music, important documents…basically anything you don’t want to lose, you should save onto a disc or memory stick so you can put it back on your computer later.

Yes, rebooting is turning the computer off and on again. When you shut down, the computer asks if you want to shut down or restart - you want to restart.

Keep in mind that it could take a few hours to complete a system reformat.

Try hitting the delete key when the computer boots up after restart
