Can I replace/fix the viewing screen on a JVC Everio video camer?

(Unfortunately the viewing screen on our video camera got broken. The camera itself still works perfectly and it can still be used with the broken viewing screen, but obviously is not as nice to use. Does anyone know if and how we can fix it ourselves? Thanks!)

I don’t think you can fix it yourselves, but you could try i guess, if you bought a replacement screen? Or you could do a google search to see if anyone repairs those types of screens near you.

Answer #3

ive never seen a jvc everio and to be honest looks like the liquid is running..

might be best to start looking for a replacement part but you could try this….

if theres screws holding the viewer on unscrew it so its free in your hand, if not just be gentle. just so its easier to work with.

i think that its just clicped on so if you look around the sides of the viewing screen you should see a very thin parting between 1 side and the other now if you just start off with seeing if you can move it just a mm or something.

if you can then im guessing a harder prise will have it off.

once off the screen will only be held on with very lose sellotape so just puss it out outside to inside.

if theres screws on teh backside of teh viewer then thats the way it should come off…
