Personally, for me, it seems more beautiful to believe in evolution – like you’re a little part of this huge evolutionary patchwork quilt. Think of all of the hundreds of thousands of generations that it’s taken to get from a simple single-celled microorganism to where we are now. More amazingly, it’s continuing right to this very day and we’re a part of it. Who knows where the human race will be in another hundred year’s time and we will have been a part of it!

That’s far more majestic than believing that some sweaty old bearded fellow was nailed to a cross.

im an athiest as well majority of religions, christianity in particular beleive the devil is what makes people stray from there god, a lot of christians are stubborn and dont accept our beleifs, not do they liisten to them. if we dont beleive in there god, were not going top heaven, and were doing wrong, ect all they want is for everyone to beleive in there god because they beleive there reliogion is right very few of them actually accept anyone elses beleifs im a proud athiest, and couldnt care less how many of them want to convert me but if they insault my beleifs, I will insault there beleifs

It’s not a religion >_> An atheist is someone that does not believe that any kind of deities/gods exist.

Religion and politics…two subjects that do not make great dinner table conversation…people’s opinions and feelings run so deep, that an arguement is bound to erupt…

It just seems like some people get argumentative and defensive if you don’t fall under their religion. I’m also atheist, if people want to think I’m mean and evil because of that, then fine, let them.

ALL people are born into sin, thus separated from God - there is a way to have your sins forgiven and not be separated (see John 3 : 16), it’s everyones individual choice…Take care !!

I really hate when people think that if you’re an athiest then you will burn in hell. Personally I think that you can believe what you want… If you are a good person then I’de hang with you.

I find a lot of atheist just to be like any other religion, hypocritical. For example they believe that no one should force their point of view on others, yet by that very statement they are guilty of it. Under my religious teachings you are not evil, however you are under an influence of evil. Granted you may donate more money to charity then any one else, you may also do a lot of volunteer work. The goal of the prince of darkness is to keep as many people away from G-d as possible. Even if that means they wont beleive in him either.

I think it all has to do with stereotypes. like everyone has different opinions of christians as well. none of the christians I know run up to people and tell them they’ll burn in hell or anything. I think its just from personal experience, like I knew an athiest who was the strangest person I knew, always angry and pretty mean. but that doesn’t mean he represents all atheists..I’m sure some really great people out there are atheists. overall I think you should just get to know someone first before you judge them.
