relationship over? or just begining

my man and I had a rough relationship for many reasons. we were both jerks. we went our seperate ways for a few months. I was in love with him when we first started dating, thinking about marriage with him before things went down hill. so I wanted to give it another chance.

now- he really has stepped up. he’s treating me better but I’m having issues trusting him, and getting that spark back. we really did a lot of emotional damage the first time around which is the problem. I’m just not sure if I should keep trying, or move on. I have a big wall up for a good reason, but is it possible to recapture that amazing love we had? or is that long lost now?

Nothing is impossible. Its good that you have decided to give it a go, but getting trust back is very hard and takes alot of time. Maybe you should consider going to a couseller together so you can work thru your problems and bury them once and for all. Maybe if he is open to that and you are both dedicated to making this work this could help you both.
